Steve Wozniak

A Silicon Valley icon and philanthropist for the past three decades, Steve Wozniak helped shape the computing industry with his design of Apple’s first line of products the Apple I and II and influenced the popular Macintosh. In 1976, Wozniak co-founded Apple Computer with the Apple I computer. The next year, he introduced his Apple II personal computer, featuring a central processing unit, a keyboard, color graphics, and a floppy disk drive, and helped to launch the PC industry.

Angela McConnell has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in diverse nonprofit organizations. While at Manhattanville College, she received a BA in Music and later obtained a Master's in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. Previously the executive director of the Community School of Music and Arts, McConnell directed a $12.4 million capital campaign, which led to the construction of the organization's first permanent facility and established CSMA as one of the 10 largest community schools of its kind in the United States. Earlier, McConnell was the chief development officer at the San Jose Museum of Art, where she managed a $3.5million annual giving program and established the museum's first endowment. Her achievements also include being awarded Fundraiser of the Year in 2005 from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Athena Business Woman of the Year in 2005.
Alida Bray

Alida Bray is in charge of History San Jose, Silicon Valley's largest and most comprehensive historical organization. Its mission is to collect, preserve and celebrate the stories of diversity and innovation in San Jose and the Santa Clara Valley. She holds an M.A. in Museum Studies from John F. Kennedy University and a BA in Anthropology from San Francisco State University. In addition to her work with History San Jose, she also serves as a Museum Assessment Program reviewer for the American Association of Museums and has served as a grant reviewer for the National Endowment of the Humanities. Before becoming CEO, Alida spent most of her career specializing in museum exhibition development and collections management at a variety of museums including: the Oakland Museum of California, San Francisco International Airport museum program, the Mexican Museum, the Judah L. Magnes Museum, and the Society of California Pioneers museum.
Dennis Nahat

Ballet San Jose
A lifelong dancer and choreographer, Dennis Nahat co-founded the Cleveland Ballet in 1976 with the late Ian (Ernie) Horvath. In 1985, he created a co-venture between the cities of San Jose and Cleveland, known as the San Jose Cleveland Ballet. The ballet performed full seasons in both communities for 15 years and was reborn as Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley in October 2000 - now Ballet San Jose. Nahat's choreographic credits extend from major international ballet companies to Broadway, television and film where he has created more than 104 works. His groundbreaking ballet "Blue Suede Shoes" has been seen nationwide on PBS and received two Emmy nominations. In 2008, Nahat received the Dance Master of America Award for Lifetime Achievement.In addition to leading Ballet San Jose and its professional School, Nahat is also Artistic Director of New York's Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts' ballet program.
Brandi Chastain

Born on July 21, 1968, Brandi Chastain is best known for her game winning penalty kick against China in the 1999 Women's World Cup Final. Throughout her career she has accumulated World Cup and Olympic gold, silver and bronze medals. Brandi was a founding member of the first attempt at a professional women's soccer league in 2003, playing for the WUSA's Cyberrays. That league folded in 2005 and re-emerged in 2009 with Brandi playing for the Bay Area FC Gold Pride that year. She has supported several charities and causes throughout her career including the Children's Cancer Research Fund, The Women's Sports Foundation and ManUp.

In 2008, Brandi partnered with her friend and Podiatrist, Dr. Joan Oloff, to create an entertainment company, called Footwork Entertainment, whose mission is to inspire young girls through creative channels where they developed Brandisworld.com.
